Me and my phone have an interesting relationship. I tend to drop it about ten times a day, and lose it about 3 times a day. I joke around and say that I drop it and lose it so much because it's trying to escape from the abusive relationship it has with me. Yesterday, it succeeded. On the third drop of the day the screen stopped working completely. It will still make calls. It will probably still text (but I'm not talented enough to be able to send anything). It would be a very useful phone. If the screen wasn't fucked up.
Back in October a similar thing happened, except my phone went full-throttle and the battery just up and died completely. No amount of charging could revive it. So I guess my current fucked-up phone learned fast. It was only 2.5 months old. How tragic.
Problem is, my upgrade isn't for another two months or so. And I don't want to have to pay $50 for a shitty refurbished phone that I'll only have for two months, or full-price for a new phone. So I'm hoping I can bum an old phone off someone and temporarily switch my number to it. That didn't work back it October, I had to buy a refurbished one, but maybe it'll work now. Hopefully. Maybe. If God loves me a little bit.
In other news, I don't go back to college for another 20 days. That's right, I'm counting. I am so bored I'm actually ready to go back to school, even though I have to take some scary scary math class this semester. Scary scary math. But most of my other classes sound awesome! I've got Intro to Film, Problems in Corrections (something about jails), British Literature, World History II, Western Civilization I, and Scary Scary Math Class (aka Probability and Statistics). Sounds pretty awesome, right? Hell yeah it does!

Oooh! Two blogs in one day! You feel special don't you non-followers? You should! You should.
This is an update blog.
The moving is almost complete. Actually, my mom was the one that moved most of the stuff. She took off work so she could go down to the Old House every day and pack up the van full of stuff to bring back here. She usually gets in a couple trips worth of stuff, since the Old House is only fifteen minutes away. It's a bit of a hassle moving in increments like that. Everyone in my family wishes that we were completely done. We almost are. But there's still some shit to sort through and stuff to give to Goodwill and stuff to trash completely. We did rent a moving van, but we only loaded the big stuff, like the fridge, freezer, dressers, computer desk, etc, etc. Thank God my brother has friends. Otherwise I would have been stuck hauling around the clothes dryer and other heavy objects on dollies and eww and not pleasant. I don't usually appreciate the "girls are weak" stereotype, but I am all for being considered as fragile as a stick, as long as it means no heavy nasty work for me. That's right. Laziness does win out in the end. Ah well.
I spent New Year's Eve at Charles' house with my friend Charity. It was just me, Charity, Charles, and his family. But it was nice. Not awkward at all. They fed me and Charity steak and pretty yellow potatoes. My potatoes aren't yellow. :( We watched some vampire lady go crazy and get stabbed and stuff on CW. Saw the ball drop and everything. And we played Dominoes for hours, which was fun. I got my ass handed to me. But it was fun. They play some hardcore Dominoes that involve trains. Hardcore Train Dominoes is crazy awesome. The only kind of dominoes I've played before is regular non-awesome non-train dominoes. Not the same. Not the same at all.
My night sounds kind of boring as I'm telling you about it, but it wasn't for me. I don't know. It was one of those laid-back good evenings. I'm going to miss Charity when she goes to England. And I hope I date Charles for a long time.

My New Years Resolutions
I'm actually going to make one of these lists. I never ever do this. Haven't for years. But I feel the urge to, so what the hell. And I felt it would be a good idea to post it on here so that I don't lose it. So. My list:
Emily's New Year's Resoultions for 2010
1. Read 50 books before January 1, 2011. At least 25 of them must be literature or somewhat intelligent (as deemed by me).
2. Eat more fruit/ vegetables. Because my diet sucks. :/
That is all I can think of. Two is a good number.
